Diocesan Level Mission Orientation Programme

The Diocesan Level Mission Orientation Programme was held on 14th June 2019 at Sugyan the dioceses pastoral centre . 92 participants (Priests and Sisters) from all the  four districts   took part in this programme. The Programme began with a Praise and Worship conducted by Fr Vincent Pereira. Bishop Robert addressed the gathering and stressed the importance of the mission of the Lord which need to be accorded top priority in all our work. Bishop also introduced the resource team headed by Bro. Vijay Byhatt, Bro. Cornel Nethan, Bro. Jozhson, Bro. John Yesu Pathan, Bro. J Sudhakar, Bro. James Andrew and Bro. P.Thomas, belonging to the movement of United Christian Prayer for India. Fr Stany Goveas spoke on  the biblical foundation of prayer and evangelisation as in John:17. UCPI Team took up the sessions and presented the five steps for the evangelization. They are,

a) Pray for the Nation and preach the Great Commission.

b) Adopt an area or village.

c) Hold Envisioning Meetings.

d) Organise Days of Prayer for the Nation.

e) Mobilize Church Members to share the Good News.

The Climax of the programme was the Life testimony given by Rev Fr Clary D’Souza the Director of the Bhalki Mission. His life example will be a great boost to all those who were present. The participants appreciated the sessions by the lay Evangelisers for their commitment to the cause of the mission of the church.
