An inter religious Iftar Party was organised by FORUM FOR INTER-RELIGIOUS PEACE AND HARMONY GULBARGA an Inter Religious Forum, at Saint Mary's Church. The meeting got a good response with more than 150 people belonging to several religion attending the event including ladies.
People from Christian, Sikh, Dalits, Lingayet, Jain's and Muslims community were present at the event, even few members from hard-line Ramsena members were present.
Dr. Shireen S.S. gave lecture on Medical Benefits of Fasting, Engg. Abdul Khader of (JIH) spoke on Fasting and its Spirit, Prof. Sanjay Makal also address the audience. Program was convened by Naeb Qazi Rizwan Mashood Siddiqui sb.
Presidential address was given by Bishop Robert M. Miranda. Moulana Misbaul Hassan led the Maghrib prayer after the Azaan in Church Auditorium hall, prog. ended with Iftar and dinner.
Kannada translations of Quran, Seerat books and lot of a Islamic literature were distributed and also taken by people.
At this occasion Mr Basavaraj (bamcef),Mr jasveer (punjab Group) , Vrushali pundit uppen (KPCC Professional cell City President ) Mastan Biradar Rehnuma Legal Aid, Md Iqbal (Millat Bait-Ul-Maal), Syed Abdul Aleem Ilahi (MD Deccandigest.com), Talha Gulbargavi (DeccanDigest Editor) and many more social activists were present at the occasion.
