The newly renovated Christ the King Chapel, Nagur M and St Thomas Chapel, Sunkanal in Ujini Mission was blessed and inaugurated on February 7, 2023, by the Bishop of Gulbarga. A large number of faithful participated in the Holy Eucharist. In his homily at Nagur M village, the bishop insisted that Christ’s kingdom is not of this world. We, therefore, have a Church in heaven. The Earthly Church is an anticipatory church in heaven for the heavenly meal. At St Thomas Chapel, Sunkanal Village, the bishop emphasized that there are two churches, one for the village and one for the heart. In both places, Religious and Political leaders witnessed the entire public event. Fr Sunil Andrade, Mission Director of Ujini Mission, Fr Sachin Christy, The Assistant Director, and their teams have labored tirelessly to build the true structure of faith in the villages.
