Kalaburagi: In July, Mother Teresa Charitable Hospital in Kalaburagi successfully conducted a month-long De-Addiction Camp, providing essential support to seven inmates. The program offered free medication, accommodation, and a structured path to recovery, emphasizing a holistic approach to healing. Central to the camp were comprehensive counseling sessions aimed at addressing the psychological aspects of addiction, enabling participants to regain control over their lives.
To foster a sense of responsibility and community service, participants actively engaged in Sramadhan (voluntary labor), a hands-on initiative that promoted personal growth and strengthened their ties to the community. The camp also included a free dental treatment initiative, ensuring that all participants received vital oral healthcare, further enhancing their overall well-being.
This transformative program was designed to help individuals overcome addiction by providing a supportive environment and the necessary medical and psychological resources for sustainable recovery.
