The Diocese of Gulbarga will be launching the GRUHA NIDHI SCHEME – Housing Project for Catholics to support economically weaker Catholic families to complete a safe and dignified house.

Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹1,50,000 per house will be provided for the house completion only. The scheme is valid for two years, and a total of 50 houses will be supported.

Eligibility:
1. Applicants must be practising Catholics for at least three years, belong to a poor family, and own land in their name with records. They should not own any other houses.
2. The house must have a minimum built-up area of 400 sq. ft. with a hall, kitchen, bedroom, and washroom.
3. Construction must be completed up to the RCC level, and the same should be produced with attached photos with the application. Applicants must invest ₹2.5 lakhs on their own
and show a minimum bank balance of ₹1 lakh.
4. The assistance will be released in 2–3 instalments, based on progress and spot verification. After receiving the amount, the house must be completed within three months.
5. Applications must be routed through the Parish Priest / Director, with recommendation.
