The Women’s Commission of Bidar Deanery organized a Health and Wellness Seminar for women on August 23, 2025, at Sacred Heart Church, Bidar. The event aimed to create awareness on holistic health and encourage healthy living practices among women.
The program commenced with a lively action song and a prayer led by Fr. Clary, Dean of Bidar Deanery, invoking God’s blessings for the success of the seminar. Sr. Maria Reetha, Secretary of the Women’s Commission, extended a warm welcome to the participants and introduced the resource person, Dr. Sony, a renowned Ayurvedic doctor.
In her session, Dr. Sony highlighted the importance of balanced nutrition, regular exercise, stress management, and preventive healthcare. She also underlined the significance of prayer and the Word of God in promoting inner healing and well-being.
The seminar featured an interactive discussion that addressed women’s specific health issues and offered practical tips for maintaining overall wellness. Participants actively engaged by asking questions and sharing concerns, which were clarified by the resource person. The open forum also brought forward the need for awareness on women’s legal rights, which will be addressed in future programs.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mrs. Monica, followed by refreshments. Participants left with renewed motivation and valuable insights to adopt a healthier lifestyle for themselves and their families.
