Jeevan Jyothi camp was held on October 15-18, 2023 at Infant Jesus Shrine, Bhalki and it was inaugurated by Rev Fr Stany Lobo, and Fr Sachin Christy, the youth coordinator of Youvachethana. A total of 50 participants were divided into four different groups, with each group having one animator on hand to perform the animation for them.
In this camp, a number of priests and sisters served as resource persons on a variety of topics that could be useful in building a good society as well as one’s own life. Rev Fr Stany Lobo spoke on God of the Old and New Testament, Rev Fr Clary dealt with the Providence of God in our daily life, Fr Vincent Pereira shared his thoughts on Christian Identity, Fr Vincent Kumar motivated the children on the topic of Love and friendship in the Bible, Fr Lawrence Arun trained our children on the discipline and decorum of the Liturgy, Fr Sachin Christy and Sr.Reema addressed the children on the purity of life, health, and hygiene. Fr David Antony pointed out the quality of leadership by giving examples from the Holy Scriptures. Fr Deepak Furtado spoke on God’s call with a number of examples of Saints’ life. Fr. Prasana ofm Cap spoke about Models for the Christian life and Mary’s model for the Christian life. Fr Roshan Dsouza was made aware of the danger of Cyber Crime and Safety. Fr Mark motivated on the Goals of life with various activities. Br. Melwin, Sr Leena, Sr Vijaya, Sr Josephine and few Dexco members kept the camp participants alive and active through their action songs, games, prayer service, and adoration. Bishop Robert Michael Miranda bishop of Gulbarga was present for the concluding ceremony motivated by his valuable presence and message.
