Delhi, 2nd September 2024 – Fr. Anil Crasta, a dedicated priest of the Diocese of Gulbarga, officially assumed his new role as the Associate Director of CARITAS INDIA and Deputy Secretary of the Social Development Commission under the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CBCI). This prestigious appointment marks a significant milestone in his long-standing commitment to social service and development.
Fr. Anil Crasta’s journey in social service has been marked by his unwavering dedication to uplifting the marginalized and fostering community development. Prior to this appointment, he served the Diocese of Gulbarga in various capacities. He was the Director of Mary Pawada Mathe Church in Itga, where his pastoral leadership left a lasting impact on the local community. His leadership extended to directing ORBIT in Humnabad and Seva Sangama, the social development organizations in Kotnoor, where he spearheaded numerous initiatives to improve the lives of the underprivileged.
In addition to his work within the diocese, Fr. Anil also served as the Director of St. Paul’s Mission at Ekamba in Aurad Taluka, where his efforts were focused on providing holistic support to the local population. His deep commitment to social causes is further evidenced by his ongoing pursuit of a Ph.D. in Social Service, a testament to his dedication to enhancing his expertise in this field.
