The annual three-day Youth Retreat, organized by the Youth Commission, recently took place at the Infant Jesus Shrine in Bhalki. This year’s theme, Harshisu, which translates to “rejoice” in Kannada, set the tone for a powerful spiritual journey led by Rev. Fr. Richard Quadras, OFM Cap.
Throughout the retreat, Father Quadras encouraged the young participants to embark on a path toward holiness, guiding them with his deeply inspiring sermons. The days were filled with opportunities for spiritual growth, including profound reflections on the Word of God, personal testimonies that shared stories of faith, and dedicated time for confessions and adoration. The retreat culminated in the Holy Eucharist, which brought the young people together in a communal expression of their faith. These activities were designed to help participants deepen their personal relationship with God and experience His grace in a meaningful way.
The event, which brought together 168 youth from various parts of the diocese, was meticulously organized by the Youth Director, Fr. Sachin Christy, and his dedicated team. Their efforts created a prayerful and welcoming environment that allowed the young attendees to reconnect with their faith. By the end of the retreat, many participants felt a renewed sense of purpose and a stronger commitment to living a holy Christian life. The retreat served as a powerful reminder that their faith journey is a shared experience, and they left with a rekindled spirit, ready to embrace the challenges and joys of their daily lives with a stronger foundation in their beliefs.
