Heart-warming Collaboration Brings Hope to Children with Disabilities

Sevasangam, the diocesan Social Development Centre, Mother Theresa Charitable Hospital, and Good Sam Foundation, Bangalore  visited the District Disability Welfare Officer and several disability centers, including Siddharat, Parihara, Blind School, Deaf and Dumb School, and the Speech & Hearing School on 7 August 2024. The mission aimed to assess and enhance education and livelihood training for children with disabilities.

Local stakeholders and charitable organizations have provided substantial support, ensuring free education and skills training for these children. The collaboration between these organizations and local authorities is significantly improving the quality of life for these children, fostering a more inclusive community.

Fr Victor Vas, the director of Sevasangam emphasized the importance of these partnerships, stating, “Together, we are creating a brighter future for these children.” Parents expressed their gratitude, with one mother saying, “Thanks to these wonderful people, my child can now dream of a future filled with possibilities.” This initiative is a beacon of hope, demonstrating that collective effort and dedication can create a more inclusive and compassionate society. Fr Vincent Pereira the director of MTCH, Fr Victor Vas, Director of Sevengama, Mr David, Director of Good Sam Foundation took this initiative.
