The newly built Presbytery and the Chapel of Holy Cross Fathers dedicated to Divine Mercy Center were blessed by Most Rev. Dr. Robert Miranda, Bishop of Gulbarga on 3 December 2022 at Afzalpur. It was inaugurated by the Very Rev. Br Paul Bednarczyk CSC, Superior General of the Congregation of Holy Cross in the presence of the Very Rev. Fr Roque D’Costa, Provincial Superior of South India Province. In the Holy Eucharist a significant number of Holy Cross Fathers, Diocesan Priests, sisters, and lay faithful participated in this beautiful ceremony. The bishop blessed the altar as well as the tabernacle in the chapel. Soon after the Holy Eucharist, a short felicitation program was held where the Superior General Very Rev. Br Paul Bednarczyk CSC and Bishop Most Rev Dr Robert Miranda spoke on the importance of Christian presence in the Afzalpur taluka and Fr Lawrence D’Almeida, Director of Afzalpur Mission thanked and honored the prominent persons who contributed to the service for the growth of the Afzalpur Mission.
