The newly constructed school building of St. Mary English Medium School, Humnabad was solemnly blessed and inaugurated on Saturday, 17 January 2026, at Maniknagar, Humnabad.
The auspicious ceremony was led by Most Rev. Dr. Robert Miranda, Bishop of Gulbarga and President of the Gulbarga Diocesan Education Society, who formally inaugurated the new academic block and invoked God’s blessings upon the institution, its students, teachers, and management.
The programme was graced by the spiritual presence of Rev. Fr. Santhosh Bapu, Vicar General of the Gulbarga Diocese. Reflecting the spirit of inter-religious harmony and social unity, Mr. Hafiz Sayed Mohammed Kaleemullah Sab, former President of Jamate Islami Hind and senior Muslim scholar of Humnabad, was also present and conveyed his goodwill and best wishes for the growth of the institution.
Marking a historic milestone, the first Annual Day celebration of the school was also held on the same occasion. The children joyfully took their first steps on the new stage, presenting colourful cultural programmes and lively dance performances. The vibrant participation of the students filled the campus with enthusiasm and celebration.
On this special occasion, prizes were distributed to the students by the dignitaries in recognition of their academic and co-curricular achievements. Parents and teachers warmly encouraged and appreciated the students, motivating them to pursue excellence with confidence and dedication.
Several dignitaries, clergy, religious, civil leaders, parents, and well-wishers attended the function, appreciating the efforts of the management in providing quality education supported by strong infrastructure and values. The new building stands as a symbol of academic excellence, discipline, and holistic formation of young minds.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks from the management, followed by fellowship among the guests, staff, students, and parents. The entire St. Mary School community expressed deep joy and gratitude to God for this memorable and blessed beginning.
