Kalaburagi: The Diocese of Gulbarga organized Mission Orientation Programmes for the clergy and religious of the Bidar and Gulbarga Deaneries on June 13 and 14, 2026, respectively. The programme for the Bidar Deanery was held at the Infant Jesus Shrine, Bhalki, with the participation of 72 priests and religious, while the Gulbarga Deanery programme was conducted the following day with 63 participants.
The gatherings provided an opportunity for prayer, reflection, and pastoral renewal. The highlight of both programmes was the mission orientation session led by Fr. Paul D’Souza, who inspired the participants to renew their missionary zeal and commitment to the Church’s evangelizing mission. The day also included a penitential service with adoration and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist presided over by Most Rev. Dr. Robert Miranda, Bishop of Gulbarga.
Participants reflected on the implementation of the Diocesan Pastoral Plan, diocesan priorities, and the Year Planner 2026–27. During the programmes, Bishop Robert Miranda warmly welcomed the new members of the respective deaneries and encouraged all to work collaboratively in strengthening the mission of the Diocese. The programmes concluded on a positive and inspiring note, motivating priests and religious to deepen their missionary commitment and continue building vibrant faith communities across the Diocese of Gulbarga.
