Foundation stone was blessed by Most Rev Robert Miranda, bishop of Gulbarga for the proposed Holy Cross Primary School, Afzalpur, near Kallur Thanda, on 17 July 2021. Very Rev Fr Roque D’Costa, the Provincial superior of the Holy Cross congregation , Fr Stany Lobo, Vicar General, Fr Lawrence D’Almeida, the Director of Afzal mission, Holy Cross priests, and Sisters of Agnes Salesian Don Bosco and few local leaders were present on the occasion. Expressing satisfaction for the development of the mission, Bishop wished them success in their school venture and requested people to support and cooperate.
