Aland, February 17, 2026 – It was a day of profound significance for the St. Mary School community, as the institution marked a major expansion alongside its annual celebration of student achievement. The school hosted the formal Blessing and Inauguration of its newly constructed first floor, an event that seamlessly integrated the solemnity of a graduation ceremony with the vibrant energy of an Annual Day celebration. The program commenced with a powerful message of unity, as inter-religious leaders welcomed the dignitaries in a shared gesture of communal harmony. The ceremony was presided over by the Most Rev. Dr. Robert Michael Miranda, Bishop of Gulbarga, who performed the official blessing and inauguration of the new floor. The event was honored by the presence of: Mr. Rangaswamy Shetty, B.E.O., Aland (Honorable Guest), Rev. Fr. Santosh Bapu, Vicar General of the Diocese of Gulbarga (Guest of Honour), Sr Sunitha D’Souza HMR, Superior General. The assembly of distinguished guests included prominent religious and civic leaders, such as Shri Koraneswara Swamiji, Shri Amar Jyothi Bantheji, and representatives from the local administration and law enforcement, all present to celebrate this milestone in local educational infrastructure.
