2 January, 2022 was a great day to be remembered for the faithful of Mugnoor village a substation of Jalasangi Mission. People were filled with joy when the New Chapel built in honour of St. Alphonsa was dedicated on the above said day. Most Rev. Robert Miranda, Bishop of Gulbarga, blessed and inaugurated the New Chapel in the presence of priests, religious sisters and faithful. Bishop in his homily exhorted the people that church is nothing but people living together as in the days of early Christian community. His Lordship appreciated and thanked Fr Robert Crasta who worked hard in building the chapel from the time of laying of the foundation stone till its completion. He also thanked Fr Vincent Thoras the Mission Director, Fr Fernandes the Assistant Director, Bethany Sisters, all the elders of the church and Royal Youth Group of Mugnoor who made the day so grand. His Lordship was felicitated by the faithful of the village. Shri Rajshekar B Patil MLA, Shri Dr Basavalinga Pattadevaru President of Anubhav Mantap- Basavakalyaan, Sri Dhammananda Bhantetero, Shri Arjun Kanak, Fr Robert Crasta and other important religious leaders were present during the stage programme and the whole celebration ended with a fellowship meal.
