A ceremony of blessing and inauguration of St. Ann Church of Wadi was conducted by Most Rev. Dr Peter Machado; Archbishop of Bangalore and Most Rev. Bishop Robert Miranda; Bishop of Gulbarga, on 13 March 2022. In his homily, the Bishop of Gulbarga emphasized that the church is a praying community, and that the fruits of the prayer reflect on each individual’s face. After the Holy Eucharist, the stage programme was held. Shri Priyank M Kharge, Rev Fr Stany Lobo, Fr Santhosh Dais, Rev Sr Celine, Shri Chidananda Swamy, Shri Manthesh Patil, Shri Sayed Mohammad Saheb, Shri Vital Nayak, Shri S. R. Tirkey and other important religious leaders were present during the stage programme. Parish Priests and faithful felicitated both bishops on this occasion. The Lordship commended and thanked Fr Vinay Wilbert Lobo for his tireless work in building the church from the time the foundation stone was laid until its completion. Fr Vinay Lobo, the director felicitated the persons who helped to complete this great task of building a church with a shawl and memento. A fellowship meal followed the event.
