The CRI meeting at the diocese level took place on July 6th at 10 a.m at Sugyan Gulbarga. It was attended by 65 members from four districts. The President of CRI Fr Antony Das S.J Mission Superior of Jesuits in Vijayapura, CRI Secretary Sr Rochana CSST of St Joseph Convent Gulbarga have organized this meeting. Bishop Robert Miranda was the chief guest. Sr. Celine from St Ambrose Convent Wadi welcomed the dignitaries. Fr Melwyn Mendonca S.J the principal of Loyola College Sirnur Gulbarga introduced the resource person of the day Rev Dr Daniel Fernandes S.J. Bishop addressed the gathering. In his address he appreciated the presence of the religious in the diocese. He said that the religious personnel working for the love of the mission in the diocese of Gulbarga even when the situations are not so conducive is very much appreciated. He called upon the Religious to continue and make Jesus known to people in word and deed. He also appreciated the presence of Rev Dr Daniel Fernandes SJ the principal of prestigious St Joseph’s Commerce College, Bangalore, and he said his expertise will definitely help the participants understand the NEP better. Rev Dr Daniel Fernandes in his address to the religious members, explained the New Education Policy and said “ there are going to be major changes in the whole system of our education .The new policy consists 480 pages. Nobody has the time to study as it is time consuming and needs experts study and intervention.” He enlightened the members about the major points with a clear analysis.
