Prayer service was conducted as Tribute to Fr Stan Swamy S.J at Japamale Mathe Church, Shorapur on Sunday 12th July 2021. Church leaders and faithful of all denominations took part in the prayer service. Speaking to the gathering Methodist Church Elder Mr. Bhaskar Mathew said “Fr Stan Swamy worked for the Rights of the Adivasi people. The whole world mourns his death. Though he is no more, the path he has trodden remains a guiding path to follow in the footsteps of Jesus.” Thereafter the Parish Priest, Fr. Deepak Furtado conducted the prayer service. Sr. Anitha UFS, Superior, Prerana Convent Shorapur, Sr. Reema D’Souza B.S, Superior, Bethany Convent Hebbal, PPC Vice-President K. Rayappa, Secretary Mr. Stephen and religious sisters along with the PPC members were present.
