The Kalaburagi Zone of the Conference of Religious India (CRI) solemnly organized the Lenten Youth Programme titled “Walk with Christ” at St. Thomas Church, Shahabad, on Sunday, the 1st of March 2026. The gathering, held under the noble theme “Empowering Young Minds – Growing in Faith and Fellowship,” witnessed the earnest participation of youth who assembled in a spirit of prayer, reflection, and fraternity during this sacred season of Lent.
The principal address of the day was delivered by Rev. Fr. Roshan D’Souza, Director of Premavani Communications, who served as the resource person. In his enlightening discourse on “Spiritual Journey with AI,” he expounded upon the prudent and creative use of Artificial Intelligence in the service of evangelization. With clarity and conviction, Rev. Fr. Roshan illustrated how contemporary AI tools may be harnessed to generate spiritual reflections, devotional materials, and faith-filled content, thereby transforming digital platforms into instruments of Gospel proclamation. The session was marked by keen interest and active engagement from the youth, who were inspired to integrate faith with technology in a responsible and mission-oriented manner.
Holy Eucharist was devoutly celebrated by Rev. Fr. Antony Selvam, drawing the participants into deeper communion with the Lord. The Eucharistic Sacrifice served as the spiritual summit of the day, uniting prayer, reflection, and fellowship in Christ. The programme was graced by the esteemed presence of Bro. Michel SHB, President of CRI Gulbarga Zone, along with Sr. Sandra BS, Sr Priya UFS, Sr Vasantha ASSM and several other religious sisters, whose accompaniment and encouragement bore witness to the Church’s maternal care for her youth.
The gathering concluded with fraternal fellowship over lunch, leaving the participants spiritually invigorated and resolute in their commitment to walk faithfully with Christ. The Youth Gathering 2026 thus stood as a harmonious confluence of tradition and innovation, wherein faith encountered technology, and young hearts were emboldened to become ardent disciples and responsible digital evangelizers.
