A Youth Retreat was organized by the Youvachethana, Gulbarga Diocese on 1-2 October 2023 at the Infant Jesus Shrine, Bhalki under the guidance of the Youth Director, Fr Sachin Christy. There were four preachers at the event, namely Fr Arogya Das, Fr Anil Prasad, Fr Lawrence, and Fr Clary D’Souza, who helped the youth to pray and to grow in their spiritual growth. Most Rev Dr Robert Miranda, Bishop of Gulbarga was present on this special occasion and spoke about the life of Saint Francis of Assisi. Rev Fr Arogya Das during his preaching emphasized friendship with God. Very Rev Fr Anil Prasad preached about St John the Evangelist. Fr Clary preached about Jesus through the eyes of John. Fr Lawrence preached about witnessing to the value of Christ. Fr David prepared the youth for confession. Preaching, Adoration, Confession, and Bhajans made our youth active throughout the retreat. It was concluded with the Holy Eucharist which was celebrated by Rev Fr Stany Lobo. Around 111 youth participated in this Retreat.
