Feast of Mother of Divine Grace Cathedral: Bishop Miranda Leads Candlelit Celebration

On June 22, 2025, the Cathedral of the Mother of Divine Grace in Kalaburagi came alive with joy and reverence as faithful gathered to celebrate the Feast honoring the Blessed Mother and the profound mystery of the Eucharist. At the heart of the celebration, Bishop Robert Miranda, Chair of the Cathedral, presided over the solemn Mass.

During the liturgy, Bishop Robert Miranda delivered a powerful homily on the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. He proclaimed that the Feast of Corpus Christi signifies the “fullness of Grace,” a tangible encounter with divine mercy. The bishop reminded all that Christ’s abiding presence in the Eucharist offers abundant grace to every believer .

Following the Mass, the cathedral community paused to honor the youngest members of the congregation. Children who had achieved excellent academic results this year were invited to the sanctuary and recognized before the entire assembly—an inspiring moment that blended faith, education, and celebration.

As the sun dipped low, the faithful took to the streets in a radiant Procession of Our Lady of Grace. The figure of the Blessed Mother was carried through the city, candles gleaming softly in the twilight. Soulful hymns accompanied the journey, and upon returning to the cathedral, the procession culminated in a brief yet moving benediction before the congregation .

The evening ended on a convivial note: clergy, families, and parishioners gathered for a festive communal meal, sharing food and fellowship that mirrored the unity of the Body of Christ. In this gathering, the themes of grace, family, and communal joy found a beautiful expression
