Afzalpur, February 7, 2025 – The Holy Cross School in Afzalpur marked a significant milestone with the inauguration and blessing of its newly constructed second floor. The auspicious event was led by Most Rev. Dr. Robert Miranda, Bishop of Gulbarga, alongside Fr. Lawrence D’Alemedia, Provincial Superior of the Fathers of Holy Cross Congregation (Province of South India). Fr. Rouque, former Provincial joined them; Fr. Martin, the Superior; and several priests from the congregation and the diocese.
The School Annual Day program was celebrated with great enthusiasm following the solemn blessing ceremony. The Bishop, Fr. Lawrence D’Almedia, and Fr. Martin addressed the gathering, commending the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and holistic education. To honor the distinguished guests, they were felicitated with a shawl and memento as a token of gratitude.
The cultural program showcased the talents of young students, focusing on the theme of environmental conservation and the significance of the five elements—Water, Air, Space, Fire, and Earth (Pancha Bhootha). The performances captivated the audience and conveyed an inspiring message of ecological responsibility.
