ORBIT Celebrates 30 Years of Service and Transformation

Humnabad, January 16, 2025 – The Organization of Bidar Integral Transformation (ORBIT) celebrated its Pearl Jubilee, marking 30 years of dedicated service to social transformation and community empowerment. The grand event took place at ORBIT’s premises near the Railway Station in Humnabad, Bidar District, Karnataka.

The celebration was a testament to ORBIT’s journey of fostering progress and addressing the needs of marginalized communities. The occasion brought together a host of dignitaries, including Most Rev. Dr. Robert Michael Miranda, Bishop of the Gulbarga Diocese, Fr. Victor Anil Vas, Director of ORBIT, Sri Siddalinga Patel, Member of Vidhan Sabha Parishath, Humnabad, and Sri Dar Suryavamshi, Disability Rights Leader. They were joined by prominent community leaders such as Sri Bhimrao Patel, Sri Dhanyeshwar Niragudi, and several religious and civic leaders.

As part of the celebrations, ORBIT distributed essential resources to those in need. Wheelchairs were provided for differently-abled individuals, walking stretchers were offered for mobility support, and provisions for early intervention programs for children with developmental challenges were introduced. Additionally, sheep were distributed to economically disadvantaged families to support sustainable livelihoods.

In his address, Bishop Robert Michael Miranda underscored the importance of collaboration between faith-based organizations and the government to enhance social welfare programs. He highlighted ORBIT’s efforts in bridging gaps and bringing hope to the underserved.

Sri Dar Suryavamshi spoke about the facilities and schemes provided by the Karnataka Government for disabled individuals and senior citizens. He encouraged the community to take advantage of these opportunities and emphasized the need for greater accessibility and awareness. The event also recognized the contributions of key individuals and organizations that have supported ORBIT’s mission over the past three decades. The dignitaries expressed their admiration for ORBIT’s dedication to improving the lives of the marginalized and pledged their continued support for its initiatives.

The program concluded with a fellowship meal, symbolizing unity and gratitude. ORBIT’s Pearl Jubilee was not only a celebration of its achievements but also a call to action for continued service and transformation. For three decades, ORBIT has been at the forefront of addressing critical social issues, and this milestone reinforced its commitment to empowering communities and building a brighter future.
