Bidar, December 18, 2024 – The District Rangamandir in Bidar came alive with festive cheer and interfaith harmony as the Bidar Mission Team organized the 13th Shanthidootha Christmas Inter-Religious Programme. The event, which attracted around 800 attendees, was a beautiful celebration of unity, peace, and the Christmas spirit. The program witnessed the participation of eminent personalities, including Shree Gyani Darbara Singh, Manager of Nanak Zira Bidar; Rajayogini Brahma Kumari Pratima Behen Ji, District Main; and Fr. Clary D’Souza. Local leaders, parish council members, and other dignitaries added to the event’s grandeur
Fr. Anand Prabhu SJ, the key speaker, delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the values of love, peace, and harmony that Christmas embodies. A highlight of the program was the presentation of the prestigious Shanthidootha Award to Dr. Abdul Khadir in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of education.
Children from various institutions added vibrancy to the evening with their delightful Christmas performances, showcasing the spirit of joy and celebration. The program began with a warm welcome by Fr. Wilson Fernandes, who set the tone for the evening. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Mr. Suresh Doddi, President of the Catholic Association, who appreciated the efforts of the organizers, participants, and audience for making the event a success.
